Civil War-era partial partly-printed document, one page, 16.5 x 19, circa 1862. Document headed "Roll of Prisoners of War Paroled at Richmond," in part: "We, the undersigned, Prisoners of War, do give our parole of honor that we will not take up arms again, nor serve as military police or constabulary force in any fort, garrison or field-work, nor as guards of prisons, depots or stores, nor to discharge any duty usually performed by soldiers, until exchanged under the provisions of the Cartel entered into July 22, 1862." In good to very good condition, with large losses to the bottom of the document, and several large tears repaired on the reverse with archival tape.
