Cooper deletes the 'morals clause' from his High Noon contract

DS, one page, 8.5 x 11, July 20, 1951. Agreement between Gary Cooper and Stanley Kramer Productions relating to "your services as an actor in our motion picture production now entitled 'High Noon.'" The document notes that "as a 'morals clause' has been deleted from an existing agreement between you and Warner Bros. Pictures Corp., we are deleting from your Employment Agreement with us, Section V-3 of Article V…a standard motion picture agreement 'morals clause.'" Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Gary Cooper. In fine condition, with some light creasing to the upper left corner. Cooper won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Marshal Will Kane in the classic Western movie.
