Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Spencer Tracy, and countersigned by representatives of Lomitas Productions and United Artists. In fine condition.
Inherit the Wind is a dramatized account of the 1925 Scopes Monkey Trial, in which a high school teacher is tried for teaching Darwin's theory of evolution. The film stars Spencer Tracy and Fredric March, portraying fictionalized versions of the real-life figures Clarence Darrow and William Jennings Bryan. It explores themes of intellectual freedom, the conflict between science and religion, and the right to think independently.
