Description

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 13.25 x 8.5, July 13, 1819. President Monroe grants Robert Swann and James Nichols of Franklin County a parcel in "the North East quarter of Section Ten in Township Eleven…of the Lands directed to be sold at Cincinnati." Boldly signed at the conclusion in ink by President James Monroe, and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Josiah Meigs. The white paper seal affixed at the lower left is torn but intact. In very good to fine condition, with some light staining, and an area of loss affecting just one word of text.
