Scarce pewter ‘Dream Child’ statuette given to International Olympic Committee members of the 96th IOC Session in Tokyo, Japan, during the 1996 Summer Olympics host selection meetings in September 1990. The statuette, which stands 14.25˝ tall and weighs approximately 4 lbs., depicts a young boy, his shirt bearing the letter “A,” holding up a lit torch and standing on a pedestal, the front of which is blank; a later version featured a front plaque that read: “Atlanta 1996.” The reverse of the pedestal is numbered “AP,” designating this version as an artist's proof, and bears the artist’s engraved signature, “Haugen, 90.” In fine condition.
