Exceptionally rare cabinet photo of General U. S. Grant by Mathew Brady, 4.25 x 6.5, depicting the Commanding General of the American Army wearing his four-star military uniform in a handsome three-quarter-length pose, signed neatly in the lower border in fountain pen. The reverse bears a “Brady, Photo. Wash, D.C.” stamp. In fine condition. Encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA as "NM-MT 8." Signed Brady portraits of Grant in his military uniform are tremendously rare, and its crisp signature and clear and stately image further accentuate its unique desirability.
