Drummer boy in the Union Army who gained fame for his bravery on the battlefield (1851-1937) and was the last Civil War veteran to remain in active duty, retiring in 1915. Postcard depicting Ford's Theatre, 3.5 x 5.5, signed near the bottom in blue ink, "Jno. L. Clem, Col. Q. M. Corps US Army." Below his signature is a collector's notation in black ink, "The Drummer Boy." In fine condition.
