Description

Partly-printed form headed "Prescription Blank - National Prohibition Act," one page, 6.5 x 6, June 10, 1928. Issued under the authority of the National Prohibition Act, a medicinal liquor prescription listing the "Rx" as " "Spts. Frumenti [Spiritus frumenti, aka whiskey]," with instructions to "take 1 tablespoonful 3 times a day." Filled by a pharmacist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Text printed in the lower left notes: "This prescription must not be refilled." In fine condition, with cancelation punches to the body of the document.
