ALS, one page, 5 x 8, February 13, 1899. Handwritten letter to an unidentified gentleman, sent by Bram Stoker on behalf of Henry Irving. In full: “Sir Henry asks me to send with his kind regards the enclosed seats which have just come back & which are the only ones available.” In very good to fine condition, with some light creases, and scattered light foxing and staining. Stoker worked as business manager for Henry Irving's world-famous Lyceum Theatre in London between 1879 and 1898, where he supplemented his income by writing a large number of sensational novels—his most famous being the vampire tale Dracula, published in 1897.
