DS, four pages, 4 x 6, stamp-dated March 16, 1973. A double-sided certificate of revaccination against smallpox, which has been signed on the front in blue ballpoint by Keith Moon, whose birth date has also been added in the same ink, “23 AUG 46.” The inside has been signed and stamped by vaccination professionals based in Chertsey. Coincidentally, Moon was rushed to St. Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey, just two days later on March 18, 1973, after a magic wand gun that he was playing with went off and shot him in the chest. In fine condition, with minor loss to a lower corner tip. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. Moon would have received the vaccination for his upcoming trip to Australia where on March 31, 1973, he played the role of Uncle Ernie in the orchestral version of Tommy at the Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. He was the first member of The Who to return to Australia since the group’s disastrous tour of the country in 1968.
