Original vintage glossy 16.25 x 19 ‘casino’ poster promoting an Elvis Presley concert on Labor Day weekend, September 2, [1972], at 3:00 AM, which shows Presley in a dynamic full-length on-stage pose next to a large ‘Elvis in lights’ logo. The poster, which notes the concert as an “Extra Special Show by Popular Demand,” took place at the Las Vegas Hilton on a packed Labor Day weekend. In fine condition.
Accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity from Ed Bonja, Presley's official photographer and tour manager from 1970-1977. The letter reads, in part: “This ELVIS Extra Special Show by Popular Demand poster is from my personal collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia. It was printed for a hastily arranged additional concert at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel on September 2, 1972, due to an overwhelming demand for another concert, because so many fans were clamoring for tickets and could not be accommodated on that final evening of Elvis' engagement. It [features] one of my photos of Elvis printed on the right side on white, glossy stock. I personally hung, taped and stapled many of these special posters all around the Hilton Hotel in the morning and afternoon just prior to the Special Concert. The remaining posters have been in my possession since that time and are a rare piece of Elvis memorabilia.”
