Ike appoints Clark Clifford to "the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial Commission"

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 21 x 17, November 9, 1955. President Eisenhower appoints Clark M. Clifford as "a Commissioner of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial Commission." Boldly signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by President Dwight D. Eisenhower and countersigned by Acting Secretary of State Herbert Hoover, Jr. The large embossed white paper seal affixed at the lower left remains intact. Beautifully cloth-matted and framed with a portrait and biographical caption to an overall size of 38 x 27. In fine to very fine condition. Clark Clifford had served as White House Counsel under President Truman, and would go on to succeed Robert McNamara as Secretary of Defense under LBJ. A significant appointment connecting Eisenhower and Roosevelt.
