Civil War–dated partly-printed document signed by three commissioners of Shelby County, Indiana, one page, 7.25 x 9.25, May 2, 1864. Loan document for $100, in part: "The County of Shelby will pay…the sum of One Hundred Dollars, with interest thereon at the rate of six per cent, per annum, from the date hereof, payable at the county Treasurer's Office." A blue revenue stamp is affixed at the lower left. Attractively cloth-matted and framed with a plaque to an overall size of 15 x 22.75. In fine condition.
