From the estate of Apollo 12 moonwalker Alan Bean—an award plaque with a bronze-tone emblem of the USS Intrepid (CV-11), an Essex-class aircraft carrier that served as a recovery ship for the Mercury and Gemini space programs. Mounted to a wooden 10 x 9 display plaque with lower engraved plate: “Alan Bean, Intrepid Space Mariner.” In fine condition, with some light wear and marks to the wooden display mount. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Amy Bean, the daughter of Alan Bean.
