Description

En route to the Paris Peace Conference, President Wilson conveys thanks for advice in "dealing with the matters with which I must inevitably deal in the Peace Conference"

TLS as president, one page, 7 x 8.75, March 12, 1919. Letter from aboard the "U.S.S. George Washington" while en route to the Paris Peace Conference, in full: "I am happy to say you were quite mistaken in thinking a letter from you would not be welcome. It was most welcome, and I can only thank you for the frankness and earnestness and definiteness of the advice it so cogently conveys, advice which you may be sure I shall have in mind in dealing with the matters with which I must inevitably deal in the Peace Conference." In fine condition, with some faint edge toning.
