Early 1:8 scale model of the fourth stage and payload of a Scout rocket, standing 17˝ tall, with the front window revealing the various labeled sections: “Payload,” “Umbilical Door Payload,” “X258 Motor,” and “Yaw Axis Tower Side.” The model is set on a 6.5˝ diameter base with an affixed plaque reading: “NASA / DOD Scout, 4th Stage & Payload.” Includes its original metal carrying tube. In very good condition, with varying degrees of scuffing and wear, most notably to the model housing, the cone of which is snapped off but present; although unconfirmed, the model appears to be missing its uppermost section.
