Complete set of eight full, unused tickets—one in every color—for the Beatles concert at Suffolk Downs in East Boston, Massachusetts, on August 18, 1966. Each ticket measures 4 x 1.5, and the lot includes: Grandstand (blue), Grandstand Mezzanine (brown), Grandstand Terrace (white), Grandstand Terrace (yellow), Grandstand Boxes (purple), Clubhouse Enclosure (gold), Clubhouse Boxes (pink), and Clubhouse Terrace (maroon). In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a photocopied letter of provenance from 1988, stating that the show was put on under the auspices of Frank Connelly Productions, and the tickets were printed by the Globe Ticket Company.
The Beatles played the seventh date of what would be their final tour of the United States at the Suffolk Downs Racetrack in Boston on the evening of August 18, 1966. Their set consisted of 11 songs: ‘Rock And Roll Music’, ‘She’s A Woman’, ‘If I Needed Someone’, ‘Day Tripper’, ‘Baby’s In Black’, ‘I Feel Fine’, ‘Yesterday’, ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’, ‘Nowhere Man’, ‘Paperback Writer,’ and ‘Long Tall Sally.’
