Handwritten letter to a gentleman, in part: "I take the liberty of forwarding you 20 Proof Impressions...which I trust you will do me the honor to accept; having exerted myself to make it a Plate worthy of your approval. Permit me to take this opportunity of offering my most grateful thanks for your exceeding kindness towards me & in particular for the very liberal manner in which you permitted me the loan of this Picture."
