Description

Hand-addressed mailing envelope imprinted on the flap with the name of his Cuban residence, "Finca Vigia, San Francisco de Paula, Cuba," 9 x 4.25, accomplished in Hemingway's hand: "R. L. Rider Esq., Box 227, Jacksonville, Oregon, Estados Unidos." In very good to fine condition, with light soiling and overall light creasing. Accompanied by a photocopy of the letter originally enclosed, candidly expressing his opinion on William Faulkner ("I think he is a no good son of a bitch myself. But some of the Southern stuff is good and some of the negro stuff is very good").
