Uncommon 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite portrait of Franz Sigel in a full-length pose by H. Merz of New York, displayed in a 4.25 x 6.25 blue cardstock mat, crisply signed on the mat in ink, "F. Sigel, Maj. Gen." In fine condition, with light edge toning to the mat.
