Signer of the Declaration of Independence from New Jersey (1713-1779). Revolutionary War-dated ink signature, "John Hart,” penned at the bottom of a partial 2.75 x 2 Colonial New Jersey engraved bank note for "One Shilling," dated 1776; countersigned by Robert Smith and John Stevens, Jr. In very good to fine condition, with substantial paper loss to the top, in no way affecting the clean signature.
