Description

Early staple-bound NASA manual related to the Apollo 11 mission, entitled “CSM Rendezvous Procedures, G1 Mission, Preliminary,” dated March 15, 1969, with patent number “MSC-CF-P-69-11,” with the front cover annotated in black felt tip, “Astronaut Office.” The manual, 76 pages, 8 x 10.5, features nine sections — Purpose, Introduction, Discussion of Major Events, Onboard Rendezvous Data Checklist, Major Procedures Summary, Nominal Procedures, Rescue Procedures, Rescue Checklist, and References — with the ‘Purpose’ section reading, in part: “This document contains the preliminary nominal GNCS crew procedures for the CSM-107 spacecraft which will be the target vehicle for the LM-5 active lunar orbit rendezvous. The procedures are given in the form of an onboard rendezvous checklist and as a set of detailed CSM procedures. This preliminary document is based on an August 14, 1969 launch date. Final documentation will be based on a July, 1969 launch date...The purpose of the CSM Rendezvous Procedures document is to provide a single source of procedures information for use in flight planning, in crew training, and in preparing onboard data.” In fine condition, with some light creases and marks to the covers.
