One-of-a-kind collection of 99 original photographs from the Paris 1924 Summer Olympics, chronicling the United States team's voyage over on the SS America and the athletes training and competing in Paris, plus some standard Parisian sight-seeing snapshots. The photos range in size from 2.5 x 1.5 to 5.5 x 3.5, and are affixed to both sides of eight black 15 x 11 photo album pages. Shots taken on the SS America include several group photos of the athletes and officials in the traveling party, as well as single portraits and smaller groups. Photos taken at the Olympic events include swimming and athletics, and a few subjects of the 'sight-seeing' photos are the Statue of Liberty, the Louvre, and the Arc de Triomphe, and various Paris street scenes.
