Handwritten letter on the death of actress, singer, and author Pearl Bailey, in part: "On our return to California from the summer in Vail...I found the two books and the birthday note from Pearl. This, of course, brought back all the wonderful memories of our great, great relationship with Pearl. We loved her, admired her. We miss her. She was the very best. Betty and I hope you are doing well under tough circumstances." Matted and framed to an overall size of 10 x 16. In fine condition.
