Partly-printed DS, signed “Jon'a Trumbull,” one page, 12.25 x 7.25, May 15, 1805. As governor of Connecticut, Trumbull appoints Joshua Porter “of said State…to be Judge of our County Court, to be holden within our County of Litchfield.” Signed at the conclusion by Governor Trumbull and countersigned by Secretary Samuel Wyllys. The left side retains the original ornate white paper seal. In fine condition, with minor mounting remnants to reverse.
