Uncommon gavel made from the wood of George Bush’s inauguration podium, measuring 8.25″ in length, with the head featuring an engraved brass plaque that reads: "President George H. W. Bush, January 20, 1989." Includes a signed letter from George M. White, the Architect of the Capitol, who states: “This is to certify that the accompanying wood gavel was made from walnut that formed a part of the inaugural stand on which President George Bush received the oath of office on January 20, 1989.” In fine condition.
