This historically significant recording was released by Sun on June 1, 1955. ‘Cry! Cry! Cry! was Johnny's first hit, reaching #15 on the Country charts. The record is in VG condition. Few known examples exist of any single piece of memorabilia signed by all three, and the number of 45 RPM records signed by all three is undocumented.
Sun Records is where rock and roll was born. Sun was the very early recording home of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Roy Orbison. In July of 1954, Elvis Presley signed with Sun and recorded ‘That's All Right.’ His presence attracted even more talent to the label. Later that same year, Johnny Cash signed with Sun. Cash, along with Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis himself would form the Million Dollar Quartet, and on December 4, 1956, their famous, impromptu jam session was recorded. These artists would go on to record some of the most important and influential music in the history of rock and roll on the Sun Records label.
