Description

Five rare items from Paisley Park Studios:

An "AR Aged Analysis Report" for Paisley Park Studios, which is essentially a record of activities at the studio, dated September 5, 1991, 42 pages, 8.5 x 11, containing an itemized billing of booked studio sessions at Paisley Park Studios for parts of 1990 and 1991; this includes Paisley Park projects for Prince, Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Tina Turner, the Special Olympics, a Beatles project, Jesse Johnson, Ingrid Chavez, Carmen Electra, Sheila E, MC Hammer, and many others.

Two different unsigned Paisley Park release forms, both one page, 8.5 x 11, providing “Authorization to Reproduce Voice and Physical Likeness.” These forms were used at Paisley Park in advance of filming music videos for the Prince singles "Sexy M.F." and "The Continental,” and “Call the Law.” The two-video film shoot occurred on March 28, 1992, as indicated on the form, which also lists a $50 compensation. The release form for “Call the Law” offers no specific date or compensation total; however, it’s known that that film shoot took place in May 1992. These forms were used so that people in attendance would legally waive rights to their likenesses to be used by Prince and the in-house film company Point of View Film.

Two original color glossy candid photographs: a 4.5 x 3.5 photo of Prince's cat, Paisley, which was taken at Prince's Paisley Park Studios in 1991 by an amateur photographer, the reverse annotated “Paisley the Cat”; and a 5 x 3.5 photo of the backside of Prince's home on Kiowa Trail in Chanhassen, a few short miles from his Paisley Park Studios, which was also taken in 1991 by an amateur photographer. This house included the home studio where many of Prince's earliest hits were recorded; it has since been demolished. In overall fine condition, with a bend to the cat photo. From the collection of an early Prince insider.
