Letter to Augustus Meyers, a veteran of the Civil War who went onto become a real estate developer in New York City. In part: "I have received a number of requests recently for an opportunity to visit and inspect the plant and machinery of the Edison Portland Cement Company at New Village, N.J., where many innovations in practice have been adopted. Under these circumstances I have arranged for a special trip to the Works on Saturday, July 18th, and shall be glad if you will be my guest on that occasion." In very good condition, with light toning and soiling, old mounting remnants and residue on the back, and old repairs to fold separations.
