From the PRN wardrobe department — a 14-piece garment pattern design for a high collar short shirt worn by Prince. The sheets range in size from 8 x 1 to 24 x 19 and contain detailed measurements and sewing patterns, elements necessary to reproduce a shirt at Prince’s exact size. Annotated in pencil and felt tip, the sheets are dated to June and November 1989, and the top cover sheet lists the included pattern shapes: “Hi Collar Short Shirt, Front (rt / lft), Back, Sleeve, Cuff, Yoke, hi-collar, collar tabs, sleeve placket.” While the majority of sheets are identified as “Hi Collar Short Sleeve,” a handful are also annotated as “Bette Noire for Ascot Shirt,” “Prince, Bette Noir Long Sleeve,” and “Prince Scarf, Pearl Jkt, Charmeuse shirt.” Includes the original pattern hanger. In overall very good to fine condition, with scattered creases and folds, and some small edge tears. A unique opportunity to recreate a shirt with Prince’s exact measurements.
