Originating from the Paisley Park wardrobe department: a set of six spiral-bound fashion catalogs of collections by French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier, which were personally requested by Prince to be kept in the department as inspirational reference books. The books, each approximately 6 x 8, are for the following collections: Spring 2000, Spring/Summer 2001, Autumn/Winter 2001-2002, Spring/Summer 2002, Autumn/Winter 2002-2003, and Autumn/Winter 2003-2004. Two of the catalogs are marked in felt tip on the front cover: “Wardrobe Copy.” In overall fine condition. A fascinating lot of PRN reference books that wed the ingenious and unconventional fashion styles of Prince and Jean Paul Gaultier.
