Prince's personally-owned Madonna-style 'cone bra' bodice prototype in a nude color, with the back left unsewn and the ribbon straps cut above the cone cups. The bodice is lined with several metal ribs to create the garment's form. In fine condition.
Consignor notes that this was acquired from a PRN employee working in the wardrobe department, who stated that this piece was left behind in one of Prince's hotel rooms with a note directing that it be brought to the wardrobe, where it was retained for years before being discarded in order to make space. It is an iconic piece that serves to represent the complicated relationship between Prince and Madonna, who were rumored to be secretly dating in the mid-1980s.
