Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 22 x 17, March 21, 1895. President Cleveland appoints Agnes J. Smith as “Postmaster at Stockbridge, in the County of Berkshire, State of Massachusetts.” Signed neatly at the conclusion by Grover Cleveland and countersigned by Postmaster General Wilson S. Bissell. The original golden Post Office Department seal with red ribbon remains affixed to the lower left. In fine condition, with scattered light creasing and toning.
