Captured during a 1967 guerilla campaign in Bolivia, he was summarily executed the following day, instantly transformed to a martyr and inspiration for other reactionaries. ALS in Spanish, signed “Che,” one page, 8.5 x 10, March 28, 1958. Handwritten letter to a group of gentlemen, asking for their help in the revolutionary cause. In full (translated): "I have been informed that you have food and arms that could be of use to the Revolution. Therefore I write to you to collaborate with our cause. This paper does not authorize an inspection, we are only asking." In very good to fine condition, with scattered staining and edge toning from prior display.
