Vintage matte-finish 14 x 11 photo of Chester Nimitz signing the Japanese surrender aboard the USS Missouri on September 2, 1945, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To the Honorable Norman Armour and Mrs. Armour, with best wishes and great esteem, C. W. Nimitz, Fleet Admiral, USN," and also signed on the surrender documents in the image, "C. W. Nimitz, U.S. Representative.” In very good to fine condition, with fading to all of the handwriting, and damage to the wide borders which could be successfully matted out.
