The large embossed white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. Nicely matted and framed to an overall size of 26.75 x 22.75. In very fine condition.
Noted physicist Henry DeWolf Smyth served as a key player in the early development of nuclear energy, including as a participant in the Manhattan Project and then as a member of the US Atomic Energy Commission. He served as a representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from 1961 to 1970. Headquartered in Vienna and established on July 29, 1957, the IAEA is a global organization that seeks to promote the peaceful use of nuclear energy and to inhibit its use for any military purpose, including nuclear weapons.
