Three pieces of ephemera from funeral events held for the assassinated President James A Garfield: a black-bordered 4.5 x 2.5 pass for the "Obsequies of the Late President James A. Garfield in Rotunda of Capitol, Friday, Sept. 23, 1881"; a card headed "Garfield Obsequies," depicting crossed torches with "JAG" monogram within mourning ruled box, the lower portion reading: "Chairs Outside of Platform"; and a 6 x 9.25 program listing for the "Garfield Obsequies" held in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 26, 1881. In overall very good to fine condition, with corner loss and partial splits to folds of the program.
