Bold ink signature, "John Hancock," on an off-white 3.5 x 6.25 slip removed from a larger document, with a large, complete embossed paper Seal of Massachusetts affixed at the top. Docketing to reverse dates it to a commission of February 2, 1792. In fine condition, with a few tiny tears along the right edge. Accompanied by an engraved portrait of Hancock as well as a color photograph. One of the finest Hancock signatures we have offered in years.
