Partly-printed DS, signed “Victoria R.,” one page, 16 x 12, November 23, 1899. Queen Victoria appoints Wilfred Montagu McLoughlin “to be Officer in Our Royal Army Medical Corps” with the “Rank of Lieutenant on Our Land Forces.” Signed neatly in the upper left corner by the queen and countersigned in the lower right by Henry Petty-Fitzmaurice, 5th Marquess of Lansdowne as Secretary of State for War. The upper left retains the original blue paper seal. In very good to fine condition, with some light toning and creasing.
