ALS in French, signed “A. Rodin,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 3.75 x 6, June 26, 1896. Handwritten letter to "Monsieur Kaempfen," in part (translated): "Would you do me the honor of studying and appreciating the painting I mentioned to you that I believe is Dutch. It is a service I request for a person of my family. Please accept as manager of the Louvre all my gratitude and consideration." In fine condition. Albert Kaempfen was appointed director of the National Museums and the École du Louvre in 1889. An interesting letter by Rodin, evoking the name of the world's most famous art museum.
