Unique collection of items associated with Supreme Court justice and football star Byron White: a hardcover 1936 'Colorada' yearbook from the University of Colorado Boulder, depicting White as a member of the sophomore class, in Phi Gamma Delta, the Scitmar honor society, the 'C' club, and on the football, basketball, and baseball teams; a TLS signed "Byron White," one page, 8.5 x 11, Supreme Court of the United States letterhead, November 10, 1983, with a reference to his pro football career: "Regretfully, I do not remember the incident, but I do remember staying at the Ft. Pitt Hotel while playing with Pittsburgh"; and a semi-glossy 6 x 9 paperstock portrait of White in his judicial robes, signed in the lower border in black ballpoint. Additionally includes an unsigned 1955 Topps card of 'Whizzer' White and a 1938 postal cover showing him as part of the Pittsburgh Pirates football team. In overall fine condition.
