Partly-printed DS, signed “Edward R.I., Col. in Chief,” one page, 16 x 12, August 11, 1936. King Edward VIII appoints Richard Farrington "to be an Officer in Our Land Forces…in the Rank of Second Lieutenant." Boldly signed at the head by King Edward VIII during his brief reign. The embossed blue paper seal affixed below his signature remains intact. In very good condition, with a tear to the left edge, scattered creasing, light dampstaining, and multiple vertical folds.
