Description

Partly-printed DS, signed “Victoria R.,” one page, 16 x 12, January 26, 1858. Queen Victoria appoints John Noble Arbuthnot Freese to the position of “Colonel in Our Army.” Signed by the queen in the upper left corner above the document’s original paper seal and treasury stamp; the document is countersigned in the lower right by George Cornewall Lewis. In very good to fine condition.
