Rare vintage display featuring half-spheres of Lucite containing the insignias for all manned Apollo missions—7 through 17—along with small segments of flown material (Kapton foil and heatshield) attributed to each mission. The half-spheres are applied to a glittery black triangular plaque, measuring 10.75″ across and 9.25″ tall, which somewhat resembles the Apollo Command Module. Vintage Lucites of this type were made by Rockwell and the Johnson Space Center machine shop and were gifted to individuals who worked on the program. In fine condition, with some fading and discoloration to the various mission emblems.
