Einstein directs a Cambridge astronomer to write to the Harvard College Observatory

TLS in German, signed “A. Einstein,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, July 3, 1935. Letter to Cambridge astronomer Arthur Beer, in full (translated): "I think it would be right if you sent your more recent work to Professor Howard Shapley, Harvard College Observatory, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and made your position clear to him. Mention in this letter that I advised you to do this." In very good to fine condition, with trimmed edges and small stains along the perimeter from old mounting remnants on the reverse. Interesting scientific content from Einstein pertaining to an astronomical matter.
