An interesting bird's-eye view-style map of Silicon Valley inspired by the 1976 Saul Steinberg New Yorker cover ‘View of the World from 9th Avenue,’ which showed a view of the world from the vantage point of a parochial New Yorker; the offered poster presents the same kind of self-effacing humor onto the denizens of Silicon Valley. The map shows the Apple and IBM buildings in the foreground, with other businesses like HP, Intel, Memorex, National Semiconductor, AMD, Atari, Ford, Activision, and Lockheed visible in the background. The map shows a view looking beyond San Francisco Bay, the rest of the United States, the Atlantic Ocean, Europe, and the Pacific before concluding with Japan on the horizon. Rolled and in fine condition, with some edgewear and a chip to the upper left corner.
