Description

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 13.5 x 8.25, June 27, 1817. President Monroe grants Aquilla & William Donovan a parcel of land directed to be sold “at Cincinnati by the Act of Congress, entitled 'An Act providing for the sale of the Lands of the United States, in the Territory north west of Ohio, and above the mouth of Kentucky River.'" Signed at the conclusion by James Monroe and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Josiah Meigs. The lower left retains the original embossed General Land Office seal. In fine condition, with light toning along the intersecting folds.
