Manuscript DS, signed “George R,” three pages two sheets, 7.75 x 12.5, May 19, 1784. King George III grants Benjamin Vaughan the change of his surname to his adoptive family, "Marlow," and royal license "that he and his issue may bear the surname and Arms of Marlow only." Signed at the head by King George III. The white paper seal affixed below his signature remains intact. In good to very good condition, with fold splits (the second sheet split in two) and edge stains.
