Tom Petty's personally-owned ornate black velvet vest with a satin lining, size 40, designed by Leslie Harris, featuring colorfully embroidered stars, moons, and planets along the lapels and lower edge, interspersed with shimmering sequins. The vest is trimmed in a black-and-gold rope, and golden stars are applied at every intersection of a fine golden thread entwined throughout the vest in a crosshatch pattern. The craftsmanship is of the highest quality, with superb attention to detail. In very fine condition. Petty wore a jacket with similar space-themed imagery during his performance at Live Aid in 1985.
