One-of-a-kind inaugural photograph presented by Ronald Reagan to "Chief Justice Burger," who swore him into office as president

Unique color satin-finish 9.5 x 7.75 photo of Ronald Reagan being sworn in as president by Chief Justice Warren Burger at his first inauguration on January 20, 1981, displayed in its original 11 x 14 mat, signed and inscribed on the mat in blue ballpoint, "To Chief Justice Burger & Mrs. Burger,With Appreciation & Warm Regard, Ronald Reagan." Additionally includes a large portfolio issued to Burger in conjunction with the inauguration, gilt-stamped on the front cover with the presidential seal and "The Chief Justice and Mrs. Burger," containing a rare program for the "Inauguration Luncheon," signed inside in blue ballpoint by Reagan; a large leaflet with the text of Reagan's inaugural address; and a packet of prints entitled "Inaugural Views, 1861-1905." Additionally includes unsigned mounted portraits of the Burger Court and Warren E. Burger himself. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of provenance indicating that the materials were purchased at an estate sale held at the residence of Chief Justice Burger in Arlington, Virginia, in November 1995.
